Work in HV Substations


Provides training and assessment in the demarcation of work areas in High Voltage substations (as specified by National Grid in their ‘National Safety Instruction 6’ which is applicable to both National Grid and contractors’ employees.)

The learning materials and assessment questions cover the procedures, requirements and methods of demarcation and the responsibilities of the Competent Person supervising the work. The user’s performance can be reviewed by Senior Authorised Persons who will authorise the Competent Person’s continuing Appointment under NSI 6. Subjects covered include:
