Learning materials and assessment questions verify users’ knowledge of the Rules and procedures, and typical practical situations verify the SAP’s ability to seek out the information required to make the correct decisions about how to apply the Safety Rules and procedures. Subjects include
- Safety Rules questions (The ‘Challenge’)
- Specific procedures (e.g. work in confined spaces)
- Radiological Safety Rules
- Control Person duties
- HP Heaters
- High Voltage Switchboards
- Gas Filter
- Main Oil Tank
- Overhead Lines and substations.
Location Managers decide which elements are undertaken. The assessment results can be used to identifying strengths and weaknesses, and provides objective information to aid the periodic re-assessment of the SAP’s continuing competence.
