SAP/AP Assessments
Provides a series of assessments for staff authorised to operate 275kV and 400kV overhead line and substation equipment.
Each assessment briefly describes a typical work or operational situation, and then presents questions on the Safety Rules and associated procedures relevant to that situation. The response to each attempt at the questions is recorded, enabling strengths and weaknesses to be readily identified, and where remedial training may be necessary.
Topics currently covered include:
- Random Questions on the Safety Rules/NSI’s
- Transfer of a 400kV circuit between busbars
- High Voltage switching operations
- Isolation and work on a 400kV overhead line
- Risk Assessments, and preparation and issue of Safety Documents
- Work on a 400kV Air Blast Circuit Breaker & associated equipment
- Work on or near to Low Voltage Equipment
- Work on Mechanical Equipment
Average duration: A module will take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete, depending on subject matter.
