Operational Site Induction
Provides induction training for employees and contractors who are required to work at industrial locations such as a power station.
Learning materials and assessment questions cover site requirements and procedures, and individuals’ responsibilities for health, safety and the environment at work, including:
- Introduction identifying entrances/exit routes, car parks, location of first aid facilities and main areas of work.
- General Safety how and what to do if an alarm is raised, reporting procedures, site tidiness, smoking, alcohol and drug policies.
- Environmental Awareness ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, disposal of waste, liquid discharges, COSHH and reporting procedures.
- Industrial Safety Personal Protective Equipment, portable tools, insulation, radiography, openings, scaffolding, ladders and lifting.
- Specific Safety Working near cables, gas cylinders, hot work, working in hot conditions, mobile plant and vehicles, confined spaces, working at height and working on or near water.
