Hearing Protection
Provides for training and assessment in hearing protection and the responsibilities of the employer and employee under the Noise at Work Regulations.
Learning materials and assessment questions cover the responsibilities and procedures for reducing exposure from noise at work to the lowest reasonably practical level, and include:
- How you hear sounds
- The range of sounds and decibel levels
- How hearing can be damaged by high noise levels
- How excessive noise, pitch or time exposure can lead to a loss of hearing
- The precautions to minimise risks
- Hearing Protection Zones
- Fitting, wearing and care of Hearing Protectors
