Simpson Communications offer face-to-face training sessions.
An example is a 2-day Refresher Course for Authorised Persons and Senior Authorised Persons. It provides refresher training in Company Safety Rules and supporting procedures, emphasising the importance of compliance to ensure that safety standards are consistently maintained.
The subject matter builds on the person’s knowledge gained from previous training and experience. Participants are encouraged to identify their strengths and weaknesses, both individually and collectively, and to discuss issues of implementation and application. Typically, topics covered will include:
- Introduction and course objectives
- Strengths and Weaknesses: Individual and Company
- Health and Safety Management
- Application of the Company Safety Rules and associated procedures
- Case histories and review of audits, incidents or ’near hits’
- Safety Rules Assessment Test
The course tutor is a professional engineer with considerable experience in both the day-to-day application of Safety Rules, and in the development, implementation and subsequent auditing of Safety Rules and related Health & Safety procedures.
