Chemical Safety Assessment
Provides for training and periodic assessment of operatives who receive bulk deliveries of sulphuric acid, caustic soda and similar hazardous substances, and maintenance employees who use, or could come into contact with, hazardous chemicals or substances.
The learning materials and assessment questions cover over 20 substances, including frequently used substances such as solvents and acetylene gas. The materials explain the basic knowledge needed about each substance, including:
- General information and hazards
- Precautions in use
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Emergency first aid
- Spillages
Average duration: 30 minutes per substance
